A trust-first UK pharmacy staffing marketplace
LocumHire exists because UK pharmacy staffing was built around opaque agencies, surprise deductions, and unverified locums. We rebuilt the workflow around four principles: verified identity, transparent rates, direct pharmacy-to-locum payment, and a clear audit trail for both sides.
What makes us different
GPhC-verified locums only. Every locum submits their GPhC registration certificate and ID before they can apply to a shift. Pharmacies never see unverified profiles.
Transparent rates, no agency mark-up. The hourly rate a pharmacy posts is the rate the locum sees. Our platform fee is invoiced separately and disclosed before booking.
Invoice-first billing. Pharmacies receive an invoice for our platform fee after the shift completes, with a 7-day payment window. We never take pharmacy money upfront.
Direct payment. Pharmacies pay locums directly for completed shifts — LocumHire never holds or releases a locum's pay. We only invoice the pharmacy our platform fee.

Compliance and data
We are GDPR-aware by design. We collect the minimum identity and right-to-work evidence required to verify a locum and we do not retain sensitive data beyond what compliance requires.
Uploaded documents are stored encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to compliance reviewers, and every verification decision is recorded in an audit log.
